I'm taking some time off work to paint the dining room and living room so we don't have to worry about doing it once all the furniture is in here.

For some reason, the former owners that an orange and yellow faux finish would be great for the walls. A couple gallons of "Sandstone Cove" from the local Home Depot and a few hours of work will take care of that, though.

Note: It takes longer to prepare the room -- i.e., taping the tarp to the baseboards so I don't get paint on the carpet -- than it does to paint it.

Note: Covering over the vine that someone stenciled over the dining room window requires two extra coats of paint.

Also: Locksmith from Albany Key Shack came to change the locks at 2pm... which is when the plumber from Val Betti's plumbing came to inspect the heater... which is when the agent from Bay Alarm came to set up the alarm system... which is just about when D dropped by to say hello.
