Started lawn sprinkler project by attaching a copper supply pipe to side of house. This will be our biggest project yet.

Got to use blowtorch to weld hose bib and various fittings to pipe! Had trouble at first getting the water to stop dribbling out of the threaded pipe in the side of the house even after the main line was shut off; but soon realized that opening the valve on the hose bib at the back of the house was a good way to clear out all the water in the system.

Note: Home Depot is the worst possible place to get pipe fittings. Everything's in the wrong bin and the part you want is not in stock. Next time, try Ace.

Note: Also for next time, weld ("sweat") all possible copper fittings first before connecting it to the side of the house. That'll save you from having to paint the burnt patch on the wall.
