Dug trenches, about 30 feet in length altogether, and laid 3/4" schedule 40 PVC pipe for half of the front lawn sprinklers. Connected the pipe to a sprinkler valve at the side of the house and installed sprinkler heads. It works!
Note: Digging through grass -- especially grass that was laid as sod within the past year -- is a pain. Next time, get someone to help you dig.
