At some point before we moved in, someone must have driven their car right into the garage wall. We know this because, when we moved in, one of the studs holding up the wall was cracked at just about the height of a car bumper. The wall there bulges out enough to make our neighbor eye it nervously whenever he walks by.

Fortunately, it didn't take more than a couple hours, a couple 2x4s and a handful of nails to take care of the stud. The bulge in the wall, however, has no interest in going back in.

(The nice white wood in the center of the photo is my handiwork. Yeah, the cross beam is a little crooked, but I think it'll do.)
